The History of the Micro caravan is due out shortly, watch for further infomation on this website and in the caravan press.
The book features some humorous pictures of motorbikes pulling small caravans. The book starts in the early 1920's and goes up to the present day and shows just how ingenious some of these designs were fitting five persons in to 10ft x 6ft caravans-with a loo compartment! Sprite, Thomson, Eccles, Bailey, Freedom, Berkeley are just a few of the makes and models featured in the book. Due to work pressures the book has run to 2 years over due! Back in May 05 I decided that my six year old Ranger 500/5 was due for a change. My choices were narrowed down to end washroom layouts and a top price tag of £12,000. Elddis Avante was a firm favourite as I feel Explorer Group offer a quality van for good money. But Baileys Pageants series 5 offered more value and were lighter too. The Champagne was chosen and a deal struck with Bardsea Leisure at Ulverston in Cumbria. Bardsea offer a great service and more and better still some weeks later while visiting the dealership I actually met the purchasers of our trusty Ranger-we know its going to a good home!

These include six flexible place laminated mats (30cm x 21.5cm), which have the popular six watercolour designs imprinted onto them.

The Classic Caravan mats are ideal for home as well as in the caravan being easy to store and wipe down after use. They are durable under normal use and will make an ideal gift. These will be available from the end of February direct from this web site or from most caravan dealerships.

The new Mouse mat set has the design of the popular 1930’s Winchester printed onto it. It also has two coasters (same material as mat) included, good quality with the mouse mat being 24cm x 20cm and the coasters 10cm x 10cm. Only one design at present, but others to follow at a later period, this will be available from March at a price of £5.55 including p&p.

Special framed 1951 Cheltenham Eland limited edition picture, and signed by Andrew Jenkinson (of only 50 available).

Each picture will also come with a small history of the Cheltenham caravan and again will be signed by Andrew.
